Theme Parks in North Italy

Gardaland near Lake Garda

Gardaland near the popular holiday resort of Lake Garda (in the Italian Lake District) is Italy’s most popular amusement park, with rides and activities to suit all ages, as well as several restaurants and snack bars to enjoy delicious Italian food. It is also home to the Sea Life Aquarium, where you can see sharks up close in an underwater tunnel, as well as rare coral species and clown fish.

The theme park is separated into adrenaline, fantasy and adventure regions, with rides for young children, such as Prezzemolo Land, and rollercoasters for thrill-seekers, such as the Raptor and Blue Tornado. It certainly won't disappoint and makes a fantastic day out for families and groups.

Ticket prices start from €16 (for adults) and €10.50 (for children), and you can get a discount if you book online in advance. To find out more, visit Gardaland’s website by clicking here. Theme Parks in Central Italy

Il Cavallino Matto in Tuscany

If you’re enjoying a family holiday in Tuscany, then we recommend taking a day to enjoy the Il Cavallino Matto theme park. While this is not the largest of the theme parks in Italy, it offers a range of attractions, such as safari adventures, a movie theatre with live performances (including circus acts) and rollercoasters – we recommend Speedy Gonzales and Topozorro for families with young children, while teenagers will enjoy Yukatan and the Air Max Drop Tower.

Ticket prices start from €24 (for adults) and €17 (for children), and you can get a discount if you book online in advance. To find out more, visit Il Cavallino Matto’s website by clicking here.

Rainbow Magicland near Rome

Rome-sightseers.jpgIf you want to offer your children some diversity on your family holiday to Rome, take them to Rainbow Magicland in Valmontone, which is the newest of the theme parks in Italy, having opened in 2011. It boasts a total of 38 attractions and, like many theme parks, has themed zones to enjoy (six in total), making sure there’s something for everyone.

While there are some thrill-seeker rides at Rainbow Magicland, such as the Steam Machine roller coaster, this theme park in Italy is aimed at younger children, with fun characters to interact with and tame theme park rides that little ones will enjoy.
